LOG GM/09 - Crimson Eagles

An interesting day today. I was visiting Sullust to pick up some supplies for a store-to-customer delivery, when I happened upon an individual as I was walking towards the turbolifts down to the city.

Soon did I find out that this person was Mercer, who is apparently the leader of the group known as The Crimson Eagles. I've heard of them, and it seems like they're growing in popularity. Recent rumours and news reports have described them as:

"...a public security company, that provide security details, property retrieval service, and limited criminal hunting capabilities..."

Anyway, he seems like a nice-enough guy, and prefers to keep a low profile whenever possible. Interesting person though, I wouldn't mind meeting him again, perhaps some business opportunities to be had there as well.

LOG GM/08 - Sullust

It's been a little while since my last entry, haven't been doing much lately. Just the usual courier jobs and running around meeting people.

Anyway, this time, I thought I'd log a little on Sullust. This planet, home of the Sullustans, is a neat little place, got a few decent shops with supplies, as well as a nice simple Holo-Training centre. It's also got the Sullust mines. Bear in mind that the city is all underground, of course I just had to take a quick pander through the mines. As usual customs officers at the entrance, poor bastards never seem to catch me with anything. Then again, half the time they're overworked and underpaid, as long as you take care packing your things in your bags, they really can't be bothered looking too well.

So, I managed to pick up a few chunks of ore. Now all I have to do is figure out what to do with this stuff. I wonder if it sells well, or maybe they're good for making weapons...we'll see.

Log out.

LOG GM/07 - A quick chase through the stars

I had an interesting incident happen to me just a few moments ago. Someone had decided to hijack my ship and take it for a little ride. Luckily for me, this someone had left their ship behind, so I thought it only fair to take theirs and chase them down in mine.

I finally caught up with them on Fondor, at Vor Spaceport. For reasons I care not to mention, what follows on after I caught up with them will remain private.

Suffice it to say, no major harm was done, nor were there any casualties or any form of, aggresive negotiations on getting my ship back. Good thing I took theirs when I did.

Anyway, an interesting thing I though I would log. Just goes to show, anything can happen to any of us spacers out here. Plenty of people who would've and probably could've done worse. I'm just glad I got my ship back, that, and the prospect of some work in the future.

As long as it keeps my ship running, and me living. Gotta take what work we can...

LOG GM/06 - Imperial Laws and whatnot

Well, imagine my surprise today when I decided to check the holonets and galactic boards terminal. What do I find on it? Another Imperial Law listed and all that...

Here's a quick copy if any of you care to read it:

*******************************************************

[ 11] Opel: NEW IMPERIAL LAW IN EFFECT: VESSEL ARMAMENTS RESTRICTIONS
Sun May 24 15:58:39 2009
To: All Citizens
Vessel Armament regulations, as set forth by the authority
granted by his Imperial Majesty the Emperor. These regulations
are to go into enforcements immediately.

Civilian restriction on vessel armaments, armor and
manuevering capability:

2 total defensive laser or ion cannon emplacements.
A maximum sublight speed of 200mglt.
A maximum manuevering capacity of 75mss.
A maximum shield rating of 1500isu.
A maximum ablative armor rating of 2000ru.
A maximum accelerative force of 25g's.
No projectile weaponry.
Hyperspeed ratings, in the interest of interstellar commerce, are not
restricted.

These restrictions are both for the safety of interstellar traffic
and to combat piracy as any capability beyound those listed is
considered military grade offensive weaponry and as such its sole
purpose is to assault other vessels. Failure to meet these
requirements will result in the impoundment of an offending vessel
for not less than 4 days, after which the owner will be informed
of the impoundment fine, to be determined by a competant Imperial
authority based on the degree of violation. If the owner fails to
pay said fine within 4 days the vessel will be stripped of excess
armaments and put to open auction so that the Empire may recoup
the costs of enforcing Imperial Law. Further, vessels that refuse
to stop for inspection will be considered hostile to the security
and well being of the Empire and its denizens and will be prosecuted
as such.

*******************************************************

Wonderful isn't it? Anyway, I don't want any trouble as it is, so I decided to do some work on my ship. The ratings I have now seem to be within the allowed guidelines, so they can't give me grief now. Or at least they shouldn't be able to.

Well, anyway, apparently the public listings of properties will be coming up soon. So today should turn out to be interesting.

That's about it for now. Back to cleaning the ship...

LOG GM/05 - Kessel

Today I've found that you can go even deeper into the spice mines, shows what you get for a little bit of risky exploring eh? Anyway, that's not the weird part...

I ran into this wierd force-field of some sort, somewhere on the third level of the mines or something. I wonder what it's there for. For now I've decided to leave it alone, but still...maybe I'll go back to it later. I need to keep collecting materials...

LOG GM/04 - Coruscant

Centralia Spaceport, one of the busiest darn ports on all of Coruscant. And yet I found myself flying there. It's been a long time since I've visited 'Scant, and it just seems to get busier by the day.

Interestingly enough though, I didn't have to go very far to run into a little mild 'adventuring' for the day. As I got out of my ship, I was approached by this female Zabrak, she called her self Zahra. Apparently makes a living out of doing odd jobs here an there, whether it be delivering things or whatnot.

Anyway, whilst we were just getting acquainted, suddenly there was a bustle of Imperials beginning to gather around the pad. I suppose it was because of an Academy Shuttle that landed whilst we were there. Probably picking up a new recruit or something for the Navy or Stormtroopers or whatever.

Sadly however, that's where this entry must end, as I got a call on a big buyer of...medicine...that I had stocked up. Feel a little bad, didn't really manage a proper farewell to the Zabrak. She seemed nice enough.

But yes, so now I find myself, sitting in the captain's chair of my ship, having just completed another transaction. Bastard of a Rodian tried to rip me off, unlucky for him he'd already pissed some other people off, so well, I got out before things got too hot.

Time to go to Kessel and get some more raw materials...

Log GM/03 - Kessel

I've decided to spend some time in the mines of Kessel. Yes, you heard right, spice mines. The courier jobs are getting tedious, and well, cargo is still chuffed as ever...time to dance with the law it seems.

Glitterstim, the most widely used spice-drug in all the verse, and for anyone who dares the toxic mines of Kessel, is a decent source of income. Of course, you might as well learn how to refine this brain-whacking spice, or you can forget about selling it. There are some people who buy it raw, but others, oh no, they want it nice and ready to take...refined, drug-form, stims...

Plenty of spiced lowlifes to sell to, though most of them are long gone. It's a slow way to make some cred, but there are still a few pawnshops around that like to buy good stuff, good quality stuff. Otherwise they'll just say "No" to you, so you gotta make sure you've got some stock, just incase some of it don't sell...

Anyway, I suppose I'd better get back to refining what strands I have left. I think I'll have to take another trip to Kessel soon. Tell you what though, the adrenaline goes blasting through your veins when you're making sure you don't get caught by Imperial Customs. Mind you, I'd say half of them probably take the drug too, recreationally of course...

Log GM/26-05-19-BBY/02

Just a quick log. I've decided to head home for a bit, get some rest, and get some sleep. Nothing major happened. A little com chatter, nothing interesting or surprising.

Apparently there are rumours that soon a public listing of Galactic properties and franchises will be made available, for any 'investors' to take a look at. I think I'll be keeping my eyes out for that list, see if I can't snap up some sort of business or bar somewhere...

Anyway, just landed and on my way back to my little studio dwelling on these lower streets. Until my next log.

First Entry

I've been flying through the stars for a few years now, despite my young age. It seems my travels have been relatively uneventful of late, and so I find myself with time to spare. So this is my new project. To write a log of my travels, of my adventures should any arise.

Right now I find myself running jobs for the LECS out of Coruscant. It's not much money, but it will have to do. The cargo runs have been rather disappointing of late, not to mention I recently got a hefty fine for some matter or rather.

Either way, I figure this will be an interesting way to pass the time. Oddly enough, I have some sort of -WANTED- status plastered over my head both on Nar Shaddaa and on Tatooine. Then again, I'm not surprised, probably some disgruntled friend of some smuggler I killed or rather. It's pretty much how things work I guess.

Honestly though, I'm wondering if I shoud find a job, or maybe find some sort of business franchise I could buy myself into. That is of course, if I've got enough saved up.

For the time being though, I still have my place on Nar Shaddaa, and I still have my two beautiful babies...it'll have to do, I'm just hoping those planets stop being so stingy with their cargo and their own "economy". 'Not able to support' my royal backside...stingy bastards...

A man's gotta make a living somehow...
