LOG GM/11 - Nothing much happening...

It's been a while since my last log, then again, nothing much really has happened to be that importantly worth mentioning. Still doing those odd jobs and whatnot, still making sure my ship can fly.

Interesting news I've heard over the HoloNet though. Apparently CEO Avogatri from Blue Moon resigned, and that Mon-Cal fella, Narelli is taking over the position. I wonder what that's going to do for the company. I've had a dealing or two with them in the past. They helped me outfit my ship when I first got her. Should be interesting. I can't remember if I ever met Aellyn though I think I may have met Mr Narelli before. Can't remember now...

On another matter, I've made acquaintances with the new manager of the Pink Pussycat, that rather...burlesque -- oh who am I kidding. It's a stripclub-slash-brothel. Anyhow, the manager's name is Kalo Aldaar. Human, nice man. Pretty down to earth too. Sometimes he's at the club, but most times they say he does his business elsewhere, and that the Pussycat is only one of the businesses he owns around the galaxy...

I think that's about all I can be bothered logging for now. Perhaps this coming week will bring more stories to tell. Who knows...

LOG GM/10 - The Pink Pussycat

I was enjoying a drink in the players lounge at The Pink Pussycat when a man dressed in black uniform gear, and an officer's cap walked into the lounge. Now granted, there will always be the few military-types visiting the Pussycat, but still, there seemed to be something a little different about this man. That, and the fact he was alone. Most military-types come in groups having just been on patrol or duty or whatever, but still...

The man was at the bar, and caught my gaze as I was looking at him. He raised his glass in greeting, and so I felt no harm in returning the gesture. I waved somewhat to the empty seats in the booth I was in, and he decided to come over an join me. And that, was when we started talking.

Turns out his name was Max, and that he was part of the Crimson Eagles group. Yes, the same group whom I met their leader not too long ago now. Anyways, whilst we were talking, I managed to call some girls over to dance at our table, which they did so happily. Sometimes it's good when you're friends with the owner of the place.

We were enjoying our little chat, and our drinks, when Max apparently was called away. Shame really, he seemed like a decent man. Of course, his visit to the Pussycat was in search of information. I guess 'security' groups like theirs love to hear the rumours and news that pass through such places. Then again, where else would you go for the hottest news and such. Trust me, you'll hear anything and everything across the cantinas, lounges and various other...establishments...in the universe.

Well, I suppose that's about it for this entry. Always plenty of things happening, I think I might take a walk through the streets again, or maybe head out to another planet. We'll see what happens. I might take a nap for now though...

LOG GM/09 - Domestic Disputes

As I was, strolling, around Nar Shaddaa, my walk took me to one of the busiest landing bays on the moon. Just as I walked through the pad however, an interesting sight caught my eye.

Two Imperials ; a Recruit and presumably a Corporal by the ranks on their uniforms - who seemed to be in some arguement, about what though I do not know. Anyway, out of pure curiosity, I decided to take a closer look, and managed to sneak my way to a bundle of stacked cargo crates. As I leaned against a crate, the Recruit shouted something at the Corporal, and the Corporal threw a punch at the Recruit. Of course, the rest I don't really have to say in detail.

Suffice it to say, the Corporal ended up stunned on the ground, and the Recruit still standing.

An interesting conversation ensued, and I perhaps may have contributed a few words. The Corporal soon recovered, and left on his ship. Interestingly, a Bounty Hunter named Sakbesh arrived not long after. Though it only turned out to be a coincidence. And here I though the Recruit's life was over.

Soon after that, another Imperial, a Flight Lieutenant came and arrested the Recruit, with a little chatback too. The Officer was forced to stun the recruit and drag him back to the ship.

All in all, it was an interestingly eventful day. I went home chuckling, having just witnessed a little bit of a Domestic Dispute between armed-forces members of our dear Empire. Definitely worth a chuckle...

LOG GM/09 - Crimson Eagles

An interesting day today. I was visiting Sullust to pick up some supplies for a store-to-customer delivery, when I happened upon an individual as I was walking towards the turbolifts down to the city.

Soon did I find out that this person was Mercer, who is apparently the leader of the group known as The Crimson Eagles. I've heard of them, and it seems like they're growing in popularity. Recent rumours and news reports have described them as:

"...a public security company, that provide security details, property retrieval service, and limited criminal hunting capabilities..."

Anyway, he seems like a nice-enough guy, and prefers to keep a low profile whenever possible. Interesting person though, I wouldn't mind meeting him again, perhaps some business opportunities to be had there as well.

LOG GM/08 - Sullust

It's been a little while since my last entry, haven't been doing much lately. Just the usual courier jobs and running around meeting people.

Anyway, this time, I thought I'd log a little on Sullust. This planet, home of the Sullustans, is a neat little place, got a few decent shops with supplies, as well as a nice simple Holo-Training centre. It's also got the Sullust mines. Bear in mind that the city is all underground, of course I just had to take a quick pander through the mines. As usual customs officers at the entrance, poor bastards never seem to catch me with anything. Then again, half the time they're overworked and underpaid, as long as you take care packing your things in your bags, they really can't be bothered looking too well.

So, I managed to pick up a few chunks of ore. Now all I have to do is figure out what to do with this stuff. I wonder if it sells well, or maybe they're good for making weapons...we'll see.

Log out.

LOG GM/07 - A quick chase through the stars

I had an interesting incident happen to me just a few moments ago. Someone had decided to hijack my ship and take it for a little ride. Luckily for me, this someone had left their ship behind, so I thought it only fair to take theirs and chase them down in mine.

I finally caught up with them on Fondor, at Vor Spaceport. For reasons I care not to mention, what follows on after I caught up with them will remain private.

Suffice it to say, no major harm was done, nor were there any casualties or any form of, aggresive negotiations on getting my ship back. Good thing I took theirs when I did.

Anyway, an interesting thing I though I would log. Just goes to show, anything can happen to any of us spacers out here. Plenty of people who would've and probably could've done worse. I'm just glad I got my ship back, that, and the prospect of some work in the future.

As long as it keeps my ship running, and me living. Gotta take what work we can...

LOG GM/06 - Imperial Laws and whatnot

Well, imagine my surprise today when I decided to check the holonets and galactic boards terminal. What do I find on it? Another Imperial Law listed and all that...

Here's a quick copy if any of you care to read it:

*******************************************************

[ 11] Opel: NEW IMPERIAL LAW IN EFFECT: VESSEL ARMAMENTS RESTRICTIONS
Sun May 24 15:58:39 2009
To: All Citizens
Vessel Armament regulations, as set forth by the authority
granted by his Imperial Majesty the Emperor. These regulations
are to go into enforcements immediately.

Civilian restriction on vessel armaments, armor and
manuevering capability:

2 total defensive laser or ion cannon emplacements.
A maximum sublight speed of 200mglt.
A maximum manuevering capacity of 75mss.
A maximum shield rating of 1500isu.
A maximum ablative armor rating of 2000ru.
A maximum accelerative force of 25g's.
No projectile weaponry.
Hyperspeed ratings, in the interest of interstellar commerce, are not
restricted.

These restrictions are both for the safety of interstellar traffic
and to combat piracy as any capability beyound those listed is
considered military grade offensive weaponry and as such its sole
purpose is to assault other vessels. Failure to meet these
requirements will result in the impoundment of an offending vessel
for not less than 4 days, after which the owner will be informed
of the impoundment fine, to be determined by a competant Imperial
authority based on the degree of violation. If the owner fails to
pay said fine within 4 days the vessel will be stripped of excess
armaments and put to open auction so that the Empire may recoup
the costs of enforcing Imperial Law. Further, vessels that refuse
to stop for inspection will be considered hostile to the security
and well being of the Empire and its denizens and will be prosecuted
as such.

*******************************************************

Wonderful isn't it? Anyway, I don't want any trouble as it is, so I decided to do some work on my ship. The ratings I have now seem to be within the allowed guidelines, so they can't give me grief now. Or at least they shouldn't be able to.

Well, anyway, apparently the public listings of properties will be coming up soon. So today should turn out to be interesting.

That's about it for now. Back to cleaning the ship...
